Year in Coffee - 2022

collection of coffee bean bags
My collection of 2022 Coffee Bean Bags

For a few years, I have had a new tradition: Generating some statistics about the coffee beans I used in a year. I'm using Google Sheets for this.

Last year, Anaerobic processing was a trendy way of processing the beans, this year, I still love Anaerobic beans, and Coffee producers are experimenting a lot with new ways to process the beans. I plan to try more of these in 2023!

I'm back to my first love of coffee countries: Ethiopia, but also Guatemala pops up in the list of countries. That's because my local coffeeshop was selling a lot of the 'Rudy López' beans this year ;-)

In 2021 I only got 7,7% of my beans from different shops. This year it was more: 19,1%.

So, sample bags are always welcome if you are a roaster and want to be included in my stats for next year. Just send me an e-mail 😎

And maybe 2023 will be the year I'm going to start building an app or website so more people can get their Year in Coffee!
